01 — Custom website
A single-property booking site for a private retreat. Scroll-driven storytelling, a day-at-the-house timeline, seasonal rates, and an enquiry flow — designed and coded from scratch, no template underneath.
02 — Corporate website
A corporate site for a managed IT and cybersecurity provider: service pages, consultation forms, and a layout the client can edit themselves without touching code.
03 — Brand website
A site for a spice exporter in the heart of Sri Lanka's growing region: the sourcing story, a catalogue of nine spices, reasons to choose them, FAQ, and enquiry — built in Framer so the team can edit it themselves.
04 — E-commerce website
A photography-led fragrance store for a UK retailer: product pages, collections, and a warm, editorial layout that lets the bottles do the talking.

Process
Four stages, one person on all of them. You always know what is happening and what comes next.
A call, a look at what already exists, and a short written brief we both agree on. Scope, timeline, and what finished looks like — settled before any design starts.
Wireframes first, then high-fidelity screens in Figma with your real content in the real layout. We iterate until it is right, not until the round count runs out.
The design becomes code: Framer, Next.js, Shopify, or WordPress, depending on what the project actually needs. Responsive, fast, and accessible by default.
Deployment, domain, analytics, and a recorded walkthrough of how to edit the site. After launch I stay reachable for fixes and small changes.

Ema Design Studio is run by Fathima, an independent designer and developer based in Sri Lanka, working with clients across Europe, North America, and Australia.
The studio started with Framer templates on the marketplace and grew into custom client work — full-stack builds, product interfaces, and design systems. The approach has not changed: understand the problem, design the system, build the thing, ship it.
